Our mission is to empower individuals and families, to create community, and to celebrate the abilities of people with Down syndrome. We hope to see you at our annual Buddy Walk on Saturday, 28 September on the Olympia Capitol Campus.

We have a Buddy Walk every Fall which raises awareness and funds to support our professional lecture series, meetings, activities, and member family grants.
The Annual Buddy Walk

Oct 7, 2023 - Lacey Regional Athletic Complex: The Buddy Walk is a one-mile walk in which anyone can participate. It is a wonderful, heart-warming event that celebrates the many abilities and accomplishments of people with Down syndrome. 275 communities across the country have Buddy Walks. Having a local Buddy Walk has special meaning to the families and organizations, which support individuals with Down syndrome living in Thurston and surrounding counties.
